Provenance of our prime native ingredients (in fact all of our ingredients) is important to us and we have frequently visited and been out on Country with our Aboriginal Supply Chain Partners, harvesting and know well the regions and the people involved in growing or wild harvesting our products.
Kakadu Plum, or In the Bardi language of Broome and Dampier Peninsula, Gubinge or Kalari Plum grows prolifically in the coastal regions of the Kimberleys. Kakadu Plum grows right across the Top End and as you would expect is also endemic to theKakadu National Parkregion and well into Arnhem Land in the coastal regions around Maningrida and beyond. In fact Indigenous Communities and family groupes across Northern Australia's Top End have formed the NAAKPA - the Northern Australia Aboriginal Kakadu Plum Allianceto provide stability to the Kakadu Plum supply chain - a very worthy and timely Alliance to protect the Aboriginal Kakau Plum Harvesters' interests and supply chain.
Why nor celebrate Kakadu Plum Month with us by purchasing one or more of our Kakadu Plum products and explore ourKakadu Plum recipesas well!
