This Aussie BBQ Beginner's Box includes:

  • Wattleseed and garlic Dukkah 60g -Provenace -Our Wattleseed comes from the vast Central Desert, the Tanami Desert and the Flinders Ranges. Super savoury nutty coffee flavour of wattleseed matched with aromatic garlic and a base of nuts and sesame seeds makes this the ideal Dukkah to serve with some crusty sour dough bread and a good, fruity olive oil. Great with a Red or a beer to help you ease into the BBQ prep and cooking.
  • Outback Aussie BBQ Spiced Rub 100g  - Provenance  - Featuring a wonderful bouquet of native herbs. Lemon Myrtle and Anisata from the coastal rainforests of Northern NSW and Queensland and Mountain Pepperleaf from Tasmania.    Give any BBQ a taste of adventure This superb Spiced Rub is the one you want to reach for, to give an authentic Aussie BBQ flavour redolent of the bush with its vivid herbaceous aromas. These fabulous herb flavours suit just about every meat and vegetable too! It’s a great seasoning to give slow cooked casseroles a flavour boost as well. If applying to meat, use the art of the rub -  it's best to rub the dry product, using your fingers, well into the meat on all sides, without using any oil, and allow to rest in the refrigerator for at least one hour and can be done the day before. Take the meat out of the fridge at least 20 minutes before grilling, baking or BBQing - your meat is best placed on the grill, now using a little olive oil,  when it's at an ambient temperature. Sprinkle over vegetables, makes a great seasoning for chips or wedges. 100g bag is enough for up to 3kg meat depending on how strong you want the coverage and flavour. This is a  two chilli heat - Medium Spiced Rub
  • Aromatic Anisata Cajun Spiced Rub 100g - Provenance -Anisata is the leaf of the Anisata tree (also known as Aniseed Myrtle- but it is no longer classified as a myrtle) that is endemic to the coastal rainforest regions of Northern NSW and the more southerly coastal rainforest regions of Queensland. Our Anisata is sustainably grown in beautiful plantations , mainly in the Northern Rivers region.
    • Give any BBQ a taste of adventure This great rub brings Cajun flavours with the delicious and captivating twist  of Anisata to your next BBQ or Roast. Anisata together with oregano and thyme ensures this spicy rub delivers that big, spicy Cajun flavour !- Great with all meats, poultry, fish and seafood - and vegetables too!
    • It's especially good for BBQing and grilling of course! But also for roasting and pan frying. Make sure you massage the rub well into the meat and leave for at least one hour and up to 24 hours for a great result.
    • Perfect for vegetables too - try it with eggplant 'steaks" or on slow cooked tomatoes or pumpkin wedges and whole or cauliflower 'steaks' - vegetables that can take a robust flavour.
    • Cajun rub is perfect for fish and seafood! Season fish (rockling or trevally would be perfect - a fish with some heft and texture and essential oils)  for BBQing, quick flamed and blackened fish or grilling or pan-frying or add to a gumbo or a bouillabaisse
    • 100g bag is enough for up to 3 kg depending on how strong you want the coverage and flavour.
    •  This is a   three chilli heat rating - HOT Spiced Rub!
  • Wild herb Salt 150g - Provenance -This fantastic local sea salt is gathered from the salt flats from Far North Queensland. It is then infused until the herbs' essential oils have been extracted by the salt and has flavoured until it is salty, herby wild and wnderful! The deliciously aromatic leaf rainforest herb of north eastern NSW and Queensland herbs includes Anisata, a southern, delicate woodland Rivermint from South Australia and and spicy Tasmanian Mountain Pepperleaf. Our native herbs bring such fantastic flavour and our sea salt is pretty special too. It's  known as  a solar salt - a naturally dried sea salt produced by the action of sun and wind on seawater in large ponds. The seawater evaporates, the salt then crystallizes on the floor of the pond and then scooped up, washed in seawater and dried.  Warning! This Wild Herb Salt is addictive – you won’t be able to stop using it!
  • Give any BBQ a taste of adventure - We just love Wild Herb Salt scented crackling on pork - such gorgeous, aromatic aromas as it cooks and delicious to eat. It can simply be added to a premium cut of beef before BBQing.  Sprinkle on chips and freshly cooked fish, salads, soups, pasta or rub on a great steak! And it is equally great on all sorts of vegetable - slow cooked tomatoes, or scattered on potatoes, pumpkin- all root vegetables - before roasting or baking.
  • Outback Tomato Chutney 285g - Provenance - Outback Tomato Chutney is a lovely rich tomato chutney with aromatic hints of Lemon Myrtle from the rainforest region of northern NSW and Queensland and the subtle spice of Mountain Pepperleaf from woodland forests of Tasmania.
    • Give any BBQ a taste of adventure

Our chutney is slow cooked to have a softer consistency and is made with Victorian grown vine-ripened tomatoes from Northern Victoria, onions from Western Victoria and apples from Central Victoria. It's perfect to serve with all BBQ meats, poultry, fish and seafood and vegetables. A rustic BBQ meal requires a rustic and robust full flavoured Outback Tomato Chutney!  It needs to be an accompaniment that you and your guests will enjoy and we know this will be the case. No fancy , scary flavours - they are beautifully balanced and will be very popular. And if you are making pizza in a wood fired oven definitely try this chutney as the foundational spread on the base - it will make you happy!
