Bundle of Infused Native Herb Sea Salts
We use sun-dried Sea Salt from sea salt flats in Far North Queensland and infuse this with particular native herbs to create these fantastic Salt products. We let them infuse for some weeks before making them available so those wonderful essential oils in the native herbs have time to waft their way through the sea salt to provide our customers with the best possible tasting product. As Australian herbs are so intense in flavour a little goes a long way and any more often eventuates with a hint of bitterness - truly a case where less is best as the salt draws out the flavour in the essential oils.
Wild Herb Salt features the deliciously aromatic ground leaves of Anisata ( a beautiful anise flavoured cousin of the Lemon Myrtle), Rivermint and spicy Tasmanian Pepperleaf. We must warn you however, that this Salt is utterly addictive- you won't be able to stop using it! Add to just about everything for a great flavour lift. Sprinkle on chips and freshly cooked fish, salads, soups and pasta. We adore it rubbed into pork rind to cook the best crackle ever!
Tasmanian Pepper Salt is infused with spicy Tasmanian Mountain Pepperleaf and Pepperberries! Sprinkle on ripe tomatoes and slow cook them until they begin to caramalise. Sprinkle on potatoes, pumpkin, in fact any vegetable before roasting or mashing. Rub into any meat before baking, roasting, grilling , sautéing or BBQing! Make a fantastic Tasmanian Pepper Salt Calamari for something super tasty and different!
Both Infused Salts have a little garlic and parsley (both imported dry herbs) however they still proudly clock in at 98% Australian ingredients for the Wild Herb Salt and 97% Australian ingredients for the Tasmanian Pepper Salt. From Country to plate - from our kitchen to yours.
