Give any meal a taste of adventure
This superb Spiced Rub that is the one you want to reach for, to give an authentic Aussie BBQ flavour redolent of the bush with its vivid herbaceous characteristics. These fabulous herb flavours suit just about every meat and vegetable too! It’s a great seasoning to give slow cooked casseroles a flavour boost.
If applying to meat it's best to rub the product, using your fingers, well into the meat on all sides, and rest in the refrigerator for at least one hour and can be done the day before. Take the meat out of the fridge at least 20 minutes before grilling, baking or BBQing. Sprinkle over vegetables, makes a great seasoning for chips or wedges (may be too spicy for kids)
100g bag is enough for at least 1.5kg kg and up to 3kg meat depending on how strong you want the coverage and flavour.
This is a two chilli heat - Medium Spiced Rub
Ingredients: Mountain Pepper 10%, Anisata 10%, Lemon Myrtle 7.5%, paprika, garlic, sea salt, red bell pepper
Storing Outback Aussie BBQ Spiced Rub
The dried Spiced Rub must be kept airtight so as to not absorb moisture from the air. If it is left open, the rub will become hard and caked. If this does happen just massage the pack with your finger on the outside the break up the product. We do not add an anti-caking agent. It is best kept in a dark place, such as inside a cupboard to mitigate the effects of oxidisation from light. This is not harmful but will cause the Spiced Rub to discolour and lose some of their phyto-chemical activity.
Product highlights: contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, no genetically modified ingredients and gluten free, suitable for vegans.
