Smokey Pepperleaf Texas Spiced Rub 100g

Provenance Pepperleaf is the leaf from the Mountain Pepper tree that grows in South East Victorian and Tasmanian Alpine and Sub Alpine regions. Our Pepperleaf is sustainably grown in bio-diverse plantations.

This fiery rub is full of robust flavour and spice from Mountain Pepperleaf and chilli heat combined with a gorgeous smokey characteristic that will make your next BBQ steak or roast a hit! You can use this rub with white meats, seafood and with vegetables such as pumpkin, sweet potato, cauliflower - it's endless!

Remember to massage this rub well into the meat (or whatever base) and let it rest for at least one hour and up to 24 hours for the best result.

100g bag is enough for at least 1.5kg kg and up to 3kg meat depending on how strong you want the coverage and flavour.

Brown Sugar, Paprika, Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Rice Flour, Mustard Powder, Mountain Pepperleaf 3.6%, Smoke Powder 3.6%. 

Storing Smokey Pepperleaf Texas Spiced Rub Spiced Rub

The dried Spiced Rub must be kept airtight so as to not absorb moisture from the air. If it is left open, the rub will become hard and caked. If this does happen just massage the pack with your finger on the outside the break up the product. We do not add an anti-caking agent. It is best kept in a dark place, such as inside a cupboard to mitigate the effects of oxidisation from light. This is not harmful but will cause the Spiced Rub  to discolour and lose some of their phyto-chemical activity.
