Peri Peri Wild Lime Wings

Our Peri Peri Wild Lime Wings are easy to bring together, all that needs to be done is marinate them, throw them inside your oven and voila, out comes sinfully delicious chicken wings. WARNING! These are addictive 😊

And as our peri Peri Wild Lime Sauce is so low in sugar they won't stick to the pan or BBQ when cooking - added bonus!

SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS

1kg free range chicken wings (approx. 10)
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon Wild Herb Salt (or your usual salt)
½ bottle (approx. 125 ml) Peri Peri Wild Lime Sauce
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon chopped red onions
2 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

DIRECTIONS

Wash your wings with clean running water and pat them dry. Season with Wild Herb Salt & pepper

Using a large ziplock bag, place all the wings and all other ingredients inside and shake well to coat your wings with the marinade.

Marinate in your refrigerator for 30 minutes at least and up to overnight.

Take your wings out of your refrigerator and let them come to room temperature. Line your baking tray with baking paper and space out your wings for crisp cooking.

Bake this inside a preheated oven, skin side up at 200℃ for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking for even cooking and crispy skin.

5 minutes to cook time, we  like to take ours out and slather some more sauce on them, put then on a wire rack and grill them at high for 5 minutes. This will get you extra crispy skin and char similar to grilled wings.

Of course in summer – or anytime – these can be BBQ’d
